Dad’s Bomb Shelter

This is in front of my Dad’s bomb shelter where the entrance had caved in years earlier when some oil tanks caught on fire. He spent years and most of his scrappy savings building this so our family could survive a nuclear war. I had to use the bathroom right after this pic and went inside to find some toilet paper. In getting ready for WWWIII, Dad had thought of everything. There were still 30-year-old barrels of rice, pasta, assault rifles, ammunition, everything – but no toilet paper. Good thing the nukes never came…
